Hardcore show in Pawtucket

I was bold and ventured out on a Friday night to see some bands play literally down the street. Firewalker, Pummel, Luxe and some others, was a decent turn out for a show that got the little “Providence” promotion that we in this state are so accustomed too. I took my Sony a7 and Minolta 50mm 1.2 MD as well as a Contax 25mm 2.8 and shot all available light.

A random roll of film

I recently got a 35mm roll of Black and White film developed, these are some of the prints out of that roll which I scanned that have spanned contents and years! The first place I put this roll of film was on a plane heading to France in January 2017, after that trip my camera only had to wait till May of that same year. Much closer to home, Foxboro Massachusetts to see Metallica play! Then over two years later took my now wife (she wasn’t when we went to France, also got a new job too!) a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard August 2019.

Adirondack Surprise Trip- Late Sumer 2019

Well they say if life gives you lemons to make lemonade… that happened to me recently! After injuring myself, and finally going to get it checked out, I got a doctors note saying no work for a week… that alone is a treat. Add to that the ability to spend a couple of days where I got to marry my wife, well that equalled an amazing and relaxing time. Needing to rest took precedent over activities, I took it pretty much easy not going to far from base camp and doing anything to strenuous, but I did get to take a few photos with the excess of photography equipment I brought with me…I think it out weighted the clothing I brought with me! Here are some of my favorites from that magical extra long weekend!

New Mexico- November 2017

Well this I think was my favorite place I was able to go with work! Such a cool land, amazing sky and food! I was in this magical land for the Festival of the Cranes, which is a birding event that attracts a lot of birds and birders (which are their own unique breed of people) the event was pretty chill, which was nice for the last one of the year! I was able to go out and explore a good amount, which was very nice. I can’t wait to get back down here or any other place in the south west.

Florida is very hot.

So the time of the year to go to Florida (if there is such a time) is definitely not July! We had a wedding to go to and it was great to meet new family members and see some that I haven't in a bit. We were there for several days and each was brutally hot, burnt my back pretty good hunting for shells.

Captiva Island was pretty dark at night without any noise pollution, however there was a lot of cloud cover. We had some bikes to explore the islands and we did so in the morning before it got too hot! So hot that cactuses were able to grow on peoples land and thrive!

Lots of birds, reptiles, and even saw a manatee, didn't get a photo but it was pretty cool to see how many different things were on these populated islands.

At first we thought these little guys were spiders on the mangroves, but they are little crabs, this guy was a foot above my head climbing around.

Natures labyrinth was a great place for all these little creatures to live.

My least favorite thing is the water was so warm, like a bath. I missed my cold New England waters.

The most Florida image I took down there!

Beautiful sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico, with a storm coming in, it was a down pour for a good 20 minutes or so.

Thanks Florida you were fun, I hope I don't see you soon.

A very special thanks to Barb and Greg for the opportunity!
